MY 150gallon set-up

    It was all live rock. I started with 150 to begin the cycle. I put about another 80 in a few weeks later. It was still cycling anyway. I think I waited about 8 or 9 weeks total before adding any fish

    That would be exactly my advice. Get about 150-180 lbs of base rock. Get a few lbs of live rock with some good coraline on it. Toss it all in. also with the dry base rock you can aquascape outside the tank, so you can really take your time and get something that you are happy with. Then use epoxy to hold it together.

    If you add more base rock over time it will not cause a mini cycle. Well it shouldn't.

    anyone knows where i can get epoxy from? LFS didnt have any..

    well... today i bought my RO system. after a long long discussion yesterday at 3reef lol. and well my wallet got emptied...:p


    i also got my rock that i ordered from reef cleaners. ( tryout 7 pounds).
    and i couldnt wait so i put it on my empty tank:)

    almost done setting up my sump.
