my 18 gallon fish only project, lit by the sun only???

does anybody see a problem with me starting up an 18 gallon fish only and having it lit by the sunlight it gets? i really want to try it but do not want to harm or screw anything up. my g/f really wants a fuzzy dwarf lion so im trying to get this 18 that i had lying around up and running. but i do not want to put any lights on top due to heat issues, i plan on plumbing it right next to my 10 and putting some cheato or something in there. soooooo whatcha think?

second thought, what if i rigged a regular house light fixture on there for the cheato/whatever, what would that do? anything good?

i do not plan on putting in any live rock!!!

kinda sounds like a good way to get algae if you don't have enough cheato. but i used to raise cheato in my sump let by a window that gets very little light


edit so is you g/f going to be the one scrapping algae of the sides of the tank with the DL in it?

 

ohhhhh i could fill that sucker up with cheato ;D i just plan on putting one fuzzy dwarf in to please the master

ok new thought! what if i had it out of the sunlight entirely and just put a cf house bulb riggy thing on top, would that be sufficient to grow the macros and keep the algea under control?
