My 180 Custom In Wall

Plumbing complete.....Knocked a new hole into the shower/ now sump room. (I like that name, "Sump room" )

 

That is the nicest looking sump room I've seen. I'll have to PM you about how you approached your wife with it. I could make my life a lot easier if I took over the basement bathroom and went through the wall.

you GOT to be kidding...she gave you the whole bathroom?! Dang...the trade off was worth it. : )

 

My wife was very gentle and understanding to the needs of my tank system.....(in case she ever reads this) :

I've only got one more side of the house to finish painting, and as well, the back porch is fully stained and sealed. If you ever need, I know an easy way to remove stain from your skin now. The good thing is, the stand is right in line for the next staining project. :crowngrin

Thanks fellas. Although I don't think he'll ever read this, my buddy donated his 55g for my sump tank. I asked him what he wanted for it, and he insisted he'd just like to see somebody use it for a good purpose. This was a few months back, ( I've had it since then, and before I started my build) but, as it happened, in his garage he had a record player that he loved to listen to, and my mother just happened to have about 30 records ( Beatles, Rolling Stones, and an Eagles, just to name a few) that she was almost going to throw out, to which I felt compelled to save and donate to my buddy's collection. Long to short, it's never too small of a thing to donate to to somebodies reef tank.

 

Bring in some color!!!
I found a Red Mahogany stain for this. A gallon and a half later, a half gallon of polyurethane, two Very sore hands, and a very stinky house later.........



I used some scrap 3/4 inch rips and made some new trim around my french doors. I figured it'd bring the two features together.






I had to throw some photos in there after all the hard work......Just for effect.
I got one of those fancy wall switches with a built in dimmer, and put in LED bulbs for the display shelves. Glass shelves and door inserts will come next.

 

damn, i wish i could hire you to do this, but ik my wife would kill me if i did this. i guess you can say i would be sleeping with the fishes cause she would make me sleep in the tank
