Hi Telgar - Here you go:

The eductors work quite well, actually too well, making quite a sandstorm at times.

Livestock thus far is Maroon Clown, Blue-Throat Trigger, Blue Tang, and Emporer Angel (I know this will limit my choices for corals, but love the juvenile colors). Pictures coming up! ;)

Has been almost 2 weeks now and the tank is thriving. I'm presently in the diatom blooming stage, but have checked my water parameters and is fine including phosphates are nil. Taking all my previous tanks bio-balls has enabled a silent cycle of sorts (i'll be slowly removing them in a couple of weeks time). I've thrown in a couple of starter corals (mushrooms, favias, and frogspawns) and they seem to be doing okay. The fish are also fine, so... so far, so good.

Also one more note that i'd like to share with everyone. I have about 200 lbs of the 1mm oolite sugar sized sand which is notorious for getting blown around. I placed the sand in my tank in two stages, with about the bottom 3" layer initially being put in, stired with water, sat, and dried for about 4-5 weeks. The top 1" layer was more recently added without letting it settle like the other portions. I found that with even with 2000+gph getting stired around in my tank, only the top 1" portions get tumbled around, while the bottom layer is rock solid! Hope this helps people setting up their tank!

Interesting idea with the sand. But I am wondering what purpose is served by having the bottom layer of sand?
