    That's a great idea. I think I'm going to call a craftsman tomorrow to come and check it out. I think we can just replace the four side panels with taller ones and reuse everything else.

    Nice lights. beautiful tank.....

    You may be able to do a cut out in the top of the canopy for each fixture and mount it slightly above. you would have to make the cutout just a touch bigger than the foot print to prevent light blockage but then with a bracket you could still use the existing canopy the way it is.

    can't do the cutout b/c canopy has a "backbone" which can't be cut. thanks for trying though ;D
