Here is my long awaited 65 gallon build. It has taken me 2 months of gathering equipment and I am finally done. I just literally got done adding water and started the cycle. Let me know what you think.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Oh that is great.

I really like those handles on the stand and canopy (it's a girl thing). I like the scape but I might be a little concerned about the rocks on top if they are not secured.

Very nice! Love the way the tank and stand look. Nice job on the sump too. Although I am not sure why you have a ball valve on the main drain. The one on the 'fuge line is fine, but you never want to use the main one (except for maybe maintance in the sump when the pump is off?).

Also, I am not familiar with the skimmer, but it looks like you have a reverse durso setup on it. Is that just for noise? If so, how does it work?

Did you make the stand yourself? It looks really well built!

very, very nice tank! I love the stand and canopy and the hardware too :) Scape looks nice also! Nice job!

Please keep us updated on this. I will be switching my tank to a 65 in the near future (hopefully) so would love to see what you do with yours.

What are your plans for the tank?

The skimmer is an ASM mini-g. I put the PVC on there to contain some of the water spill out of the skimmer return. The noise is next to nothing but I am getting some gurgles. I'll have to play around with it a little to get the flow just right.

I built the stand from scratch with some lumber that was lying around. I plan on doing a reef tank with a lot of SPS and hopefully a zoanthid garden on the bottom left. We will se how it goes.
    Many updates to come..........

So after many problems with my plumbing( having lots of bubbles and gurgling loud enough to wake the dead) I ended up changing my whole PVC lay out. I used reverse durso on both of the drains (one into the skimmer section and one into the refugium) and now I have zero sound and very little bubbles.
