Ok I am on my way to the Home Depot. I have been surfing a few threads and noticed that hobbyists have been painting the inside of the stand with either paint or something to prevent saltwater damage. Can anyone give me some insight on what I need to purchase or what works for them?

nice tank, why wouldnt it work out as a reef tank ? also call it cherrie picking but are the anthias spoken for ? as they are my fav fish ! as far as paint i would do rustoleum, stay away from oil based unless you dont mind the smell... and make sure if you do use it that you paint in a well ventilated area.

Thanks for the compliment. They were originally not part of my stocking. I got happy buying because I had a tank and didn't stick with the plan. Plus now they are harassing my Anthiases , midas blenny and cleaner wrasses. When I transition them over I will put them in the quarantine tank and give them back to the LFS. No they are not spoken for.:):):)

get the custom sump made, get the return pump, and my sand. I am an injured vet so my funds are low so thats why i think imma be setting the record for the longest tank setup.
