    I had this problem a few years ago and ended up tearing down my 180 over it just to get everything infested out. I had so much hair algae and bryopsis (sp) I just gave up. Now I run Rowaphos 24/7. It's a little expensive for the media but it lasts awhile once you get the phosphates under control. nice tank by the way!

    Under use of Pellets


    Thanks for the compliment. Well It looks like i will be running one soon. My tank is very clear but I will see what the tests results will say Wednesday. I also found out that i was under running my pellets for my size tank. Apparently my math and the person from the LFS's math was off. So I am adding the rest of my pellets weekly until I have my pellets set for the size of my tank. Maybe my phosphates will go down soon if I don't have a spike again.
