    hi everybody ;D

I started this tank on september 5th, 2 weeks plus ago.

added live rock and sand and let the water run ( seeded with LR from existing tank ) and transferred everything over after 2 weeks

Thankfully there were no casualties 8)

My tank dimensions are a little different from everyone else's here as i notice most tanks here are rather long than tall. I decided on a higher tank due to space constrains and

for a different rock scaping . i have 190 pounds of live rock and 2 inches of coral sand.

    tank dimensions are 60 inch x 24 inch x 30 inch
    and sump 48 inch x 18 inch x 16 inch

    Tank equipments :
    Light fixture and ballast are DIY, 2 x 250 w BLV 20000k MH and 2 x 54 w T5HO ( giesemann pure actinic and actinic plus )
Skimmer is also DIY using ehiem 3000 as the pump

The tank has 3 sources of circulation
    1: 1320 GPH return pump ( ehiem 5000)
    2 :koralia 4 powerhead ( 1200GPH )
    3. chiller return ( 800GPH )

temperature control : 1/3 JP JBJ artica 250

    Fish list
    pair of maroons
    pair of saddlebacks
    pair of clarkkis
    purple stripe pseudochromis
    high fin fairy wrasse
    blue damsel
    azure damsel
    humbug damsel

Looks good! your corals and fish look good. I love the tank itself. It has a nice modern look to it. A+ on your rock work, lots of nice ledges to place corals.

but there are still many spaces to fill, my tank looks rather empty in the FTS, must add some big big corals soon ;D weird how the tank looks like it has so little fishes when in fact it's quite packed, i should take a video..

    That looks very nice!

I am transferring my contents from my existing 90g to my 193g this week as well:)

Was that anemone a different color when you got it? I have a feeling it will change colors in the near future.

good luck dude! i've been following your thread ;D

your dimensions are pretty similiar to mine except our width and height are flipped lol

about the anemone.. i got it when it was almost all white, i thought it was a white anemone =.=
it has a little greens on it now , i've been spot feeding it every 1 or 2 days for 3 months , what color do you think it is?

Hard to say, but I bet it will get either red, or green. My guess is green due to the pink tips.

Yeah, besides mine being 62" long, they are pretty much the same size but flipped:)

i'm hoping it's a green, because i already have a RBTA on the other side of the tank, waiting for my clarkkis to host it ::)

they're not like my maroons though, the maroons went into the BTA like IMMEDIATELY after seeing it.

My bta has a tendency to face downwards, it's tolerable in my old tank and it's shallow and easier to feed, but it's gonna be a real pain in this tank

    guys i have a question ;)

how often do i have to feed seaweed to my tangs? they have micro and macro algae to graze in the tank, my tangs eat all kinds of things, pellets flakes mysis , looks more like omnivores to me lol

If the tangs are grazing on algae in the tank, I would not worry about feeding them more seaweed.

I feed rods reef food that has a bit of nori and other seaweed in it, but I will occasionally drop in a piece of nori.
