hi i have another question ;D

do i have enough live rock in my tank? and when can i expect the denitrifying bacteria to start kicking up in my live rock? my skimmer and chaeto seems to be doing most of the dirty work now lol

btw my female maroon's a *****, i added a RBTA for my clarkkis and they were hosting it this morning, but this afternoon the female came to kick them out ! she's ditched her old anemone, can't blame her as the old anemone keeps hiding ! now the male maroon is hosting the old one, female maroon the new one and the clarkki's with none *sighs*

I thought about that after I typed the message;)

It looks like you have enough LR to me.

Yeah, maroon's cn be like that.
Mine is around 5" and she will go aggro on corals, and other fish, especially my kole tang if they get to close to her 2 BTA's.

Curiously enough, I added an ocellaris clown a while back. She would head over to the other side of the tank and try to get my new clown, but it hid.

Eventually the false perc kept getting closer to the left side of the tank where the anemones are. I couldn't believe it, but the maroon has accepted the ocellaris! She won't let the little clown host in her nems, but she never goes after the little guy.

I guess they are buddies now? weird huh? especially since I figured the maroon would be constantly trying to get the ocellaris.

wow! that's a relief to hear i'll be praying every night for my maroon to accept my clarkiis ;D anyway she's not THAT disloyal to her old anemone , she went there to sleep with her mate tonight ,and the clarkii's got to sleep in the new one, but i bet it'll be a different story when the lights come on!

can you recommend any anemone besides a BTA for my clarkiis? something easier so that the maroons wont go near it ;D

eh this website is different, most websites i read say that maroon's natural anemone is only the bulb tip

    how about this 2?
    Ritteri Anemone (Heteractis magnifica)
    Sebae Anemone (Heteractis malu)

anyone any experience with them? :)

No, but my lfs had a ritteri for a while. I think it actually was hardier than the BTA they have. It always looked better than the bta.

I don't think any anemone is any harder than the rest to keep really.
