The algae scrubber after 5 days. Looks to be the normal growth.

Me too! I swear, I enjoy the building part the most.

Also, my favorite part, I built this tank as a room divider. You can see through it into another room. And has three visible sides...

Nice job dude!!!! One Day.....I am just re-starting too, I just wanted to see if my passion was still there, and it definitely is. It is a lot more fun on a re-start cause you usually have most of the equipment, and know what to expect. Good luck!!!

Wow, only 5 days and you've got that much build up on your ATS? I can definitely see in the close ups where you have a growth issue. I'm thinking you probably have to feed those triggers a lot each day. Although they are very beautiful fish IMO, you're on the right track by removing them from a future full reef transition. I'd give that ATS a month of good removal and take everything else slowly.

I love triggers. My tank was nothing but triggers at one point. There hardy and snack on anything. They're really active fish. Sadly my tank crashed.

    Update...

Black sand went in last night.. Cleared up nicely. Pics look cloudy since I was leveling it out.

    Added the instant cycle bio-bacteria.

Reef Keeper Lite came in... I forgot to order extra plugs so I only have 4 ports to choose from. Dang.. they are 90$ a Piece.. Sucks.

I should have around 95% of the GHA srubbed down and removed. I am surprised it can handle a week of being dry and light starved.

Moved the remainder of my live stock back to the display:
    1 Scopas tang.
1 Fiji damsel I think Less aggressive damsel.
1 unkown fish i forgot what is was.
    approximately 10 misc hermits.

My hammer corals still seem to be surviving despite temps dropping to 70 degrees multiple times.

    1 football sized clam.

Now i'm removing all equipment from the sump and giving it a good scrub.

After this post off to the LFS to surrender my triggers. Hopefully I wont comeback with any new live stock ;). Too soon.

Thinking about ordering the clean up crew from reefcleaners.org Too soon?

Then.. time to start thinking about livestock again.. u1.jpg
