lol i didnt say i think im better, i said glad to see exotic fish died due to your lack of preparation. and for the record i'm confident in my tank. its my first salt water set up and i've had great success, growth and amazing coloration. pod life is blooming, beautiful live rock and purple algae everywhere. i'll send you a pic of my tank once the actinics turn on, they're still sleeping zzzzzzzz i noticed you didnt post a pic of ur aquapod, guess that says something. most threads in this forum topic have pics * cough * show off your tank?

The guy admits his stocking list is a little high, do you not read? Also one fish is a blennie and another is a fire fish goby. Those 2 fish hardly make a dent in the bioload or the swim space. Not saying I recommend 6 fish in a 24g tank, but its not the end of the world. If you paid attention at all you would've seen me and the guy discussing his stocking list being a touch on the high side. I'm not sure what your opinion means anyways, I could criticize you all day for keeping cichlids in a 29g. Are you kidding me? Do you know how big cichlids get?

Then show yours off... and not some pm. I guess your afraid of the big dawgs to pick tor tank apart. But wait most Respectable reefers give constructive criticism and not attack people for what they perceive as negligent tank keeping practices. Its a few people like your self that make other not want to post pics or comments cause there afraid of being attacked so do me a favor back outa my koolaid your not welcome here.. unless you can be respectable to other reefers..

    Once again best of luck..

Upon your request, my 6month old Oceanic[pos brand] Bio Cube 29g with no skimmer, lava rock + active carbon + micron net filtration (moddified the back chambers) i let the tank cycle for 5 months before i added anything, the pod population stabilized, all my parameters are always in check. I usually perform a 5g weekly water change, i seldom feed with phyto + zoo plankton, fish flakes, and occasionally ill chop up some sword fish for the anemone and the fish.

Btw I hope you're happy, you've made my emerald crab very crank by turning the lights on before he was ready for his morning nap!

You're right about the cichlids, I was still pretty new to exotic fish species and of course most fish shops under rate the overall size of the fish, I only had three, two female and one male auratus cichlids, (not too small for a 29g sorry max size 5" x 3 fish = 15" of fish in a 29g long sorry)

Also I just mistyped due to rage, I did see the pictures but I just always see careless fish owners over stocking their tanks for their own viewing pleasure, they just don't consider that fish need to swim, not stay in a corner of the tank. Even though his tank has open spaces. You know I don't care, you want to condone killing off a beautiful puffer and a manderin goby than that's your style, not mine. Should have taken more precautions when moving, I don't care - no excuses when we're talking about a living being.

So you wanna get on this guys thread and attack him when he's getting good growth of sps in his tank and maybe has one or 2 extra fish than he should, meanwhile you have lava rock leeching metals into your tank, a classic rookie mistake.

Take my advice when I say having an attitude like yours will get you nowhere on this forum. Good luck.

you can take all the precautions you want and there can still be things that go wrong with a move. i agree the stocking list is a bit high but no reason to bash him about loosing a fish. it happens to all of us.

sorry to salsalito25 for getting your build thread off track but Ashevillian you are bashing him for inproper housing for his fish yet you have a anemone in a 6 month old tank with pc lighting and lava rock. the nem doesnt look to good in your pic. i dont think there is any room for you to judge someone on there stocking list.
