Hey all. Just got into saltwater this summer with my gf and thought I'd post pics of our (or technically her) tank. It's a 29 gallon with a canopy I built and a petco metal stand with wood velcro'd to it (was just as cheap and easy to take down). It's home to a clown fish (not positive on which type) who's name is Alex and a green spotted puffer named Ralph who are both around 2". Also, just thought I should mention we are in college and know Ralph will need a bigger tank when he is older but I can't have one now. Luckily gsp have a very slow growth rate so we shouldn't need a bigger tank in the next 2 years.

On to pics. Sorry about cell phone pictures, I don't have a camera.

I should also point out that the hydrometer in the pictures isn't accurate, or working at all. I bought it to use as a daily thing to glance at but I still have another out of tank one.

We're also considering eventually (in a couple months or so) adding in one other smaller fish - hopefully a blue or yellow one for more color. If anyone has any suggestions we're open to them. It may be hard to tell from the pics, but there isnt much sand scooting room so it would have to be something that likes to swim in the more open water or on the rocks. We were thinking of a chromis as a possibility, if they don't need to be in groups. Thanks.

Bump. No comments? I took a video of them with my phone which does a better job of showing them than the pictures that were blurry.

Nice tank. I like the puffer. What do you feed it?

They both eat a mix of frozen food. Change it up daily. Some freeze dried mysis or bloodworms every once in a while too as a snack (a little bit maybe 1-2 times a week). Also, snails about once a week for the puffer to keep his teeth down.

    Thanks
