This is my first saltwater tank. I've had it up and running since oct. The cycle finish in nov. I added 2 clownfish to start, then I added 6 snails to help with the brown algea on my sand. 2 Weeks ago I added a spiny urchin to it. Then last week I added a midas blenny, a peppermint shrimp and a engineer goby. I plan to add a kole tang, after I get a 40g breeder, and an anemone. This spring I will add a refuge with a protien skimmer. ( when I get the money to do one) and,by this summer I plan to start with corals and I know the urchin will have to come out. When I get a 40g breeder, I will try to set the live rock up almost in the middle of the tank. Please give me some feedback about how it looks and how I am doing, so far. Thanks all

Nice but a tang even in a 40 gallon isn't gonna last for long the tang will out grow the tank. You might want to stick away unless you plan to upgrade to atleast a 70 gallon and even that is pushing size issue once again. I have a hippo tang in a forty gallon but I plan to move so I will have to get rid of my fish befroe I make the cross country trip. So unless your gonna get rid of it or get a large tank I would suggest getting smaller fish. Not trying to be an idiot but you will only caused stress on the fish.

I plan to get it when it is small. The guy at the fish store who has been in business for 20 years said that it will take a year to a year and a half to outgrow the 40g. Just depends. By that time I should be able to talk my wife into letting me get a bigger tank. If not, then I will have to sell it back to the fish store.
