This is my f/o system, 3 years old, with emperor angel, yellow tang, clarkii clown, and b&w clown. I got the angel about 5 months ago, is it beginning to change into adult colors? the top part of it began to turn pale white and recently its becoming more yellow. Tell me what you think!

It might be beginning to change.

You're going to hear this quit a bit, but if this is the 22g tank, the emperor angel and tang really don't belong in there.

It doesn't look like it's your 22, but it doesn't seem to be any bigger of a tank, when looking at it compared to your TV.

That tank was actually taken down :( no, this is the 60 gallon and with 3 years under this tanks belt, its doing great considering the bioload in there. all fish seem to be extremely happy and very hardy. all the fish in there are the original fish, from 2 months, to 8 months to 1 year. all alive and thriving, never an algae problem and params perfect.

i appreciate the kind reference to the size tank btw

Yes, a 60 is more reasonable for those fish, even if it is a cube. The fish will still eventually outgrow it, though, so don't forget to do the right thing when the time comes.

what does impress me about that tank cira050 is the fact that it looks immaculate, clean, tidy and for a 3 year old set up thats excellent IMO

are those artificial corals? what are they made off? do you remove them to clean them periodically?

Thank you very much steve, i do a 5 gallon water change every sunday, take the artificial corals out and scrub the glass every month or so and thats about it! this system has an amazing bacterial system that i think is what keeps this thing running the way it does. if i do a water change it takes the tank 5 minutes to get back to crystal clear water, if i disturb the sand no nitrate or nitrite spikes or anything. its truly amazing what kinds of biological ecosystems these tanks grow overtime. thanks for the compliment, and btw the tank is upkept by yours truly ;)

I wanted to convert it to a reef and get some liverock and get rid of the fake coral but truly, this tank requires little to no maintenance, labor wise and cost wise and the fake coral adds a colorful 'wow' factor to the family room. Maybe one day itll be a reef...
