    i didnt even care about priming it at first, he insisted though. i would much rather just paint the tank and get it inside tomorrow rather than wait another day. i have to get this up and running considering im tearing down my other tank saturday..... think if i just use the satin black wood paint i picked up it will be fine??

    I don't see why priming it would matter, really. It's going to be black anyways. You could always do a second coat of paint, if you needed to..

    already did and got *****ed out. will post pics when i bring it in a few hours and put the tank ontop of it

    so i brought it inside. bad news though. turns out my craftsman ship was a litle worse than i thought. the tank isnt sitting level ontop of the stand, obviously the top of the stand is not flat then. it looks to be that the right corner of hte tank is about 3/"8 above the top of the stand. if i place a 1/2" layer of styofoam between the tank bottom and the stand top, shouldnt this eliminate any un-levelness considering once the tank is loaded gravity will level it out into the styrofoam?
