well as promised a little bit better pics and some additions...

one of my mandarins doesn't look too good as of yesterday and i doubt that he will make it... i've checked my water parameters and they are spot on

i have plenty of food but the only reasoning i can think of is i bought the two the same day they arrived in the fish store and i'm assuming that he was just over stressed

the sick one was moving around decent the first day but not as much as the other and i even watched him searching for food on the glass and he was pecking at nothing but not even seeing the pods in front of him. so i kinda felt he wasn't doing good from the begining..

on the other hand i picked up some corals i moved over my fighting conch from my 46 because this 40g has way more floor room for him to explore

    here's some pix

snuffalufagus (the fighting conch) along w/a couple mushrooms and what i think is "war coral" correct me if i'm wrong
    [IMG]

closer pic of my green stripe mushrooms not sure if they are watermelon
    [IMG]

more mushrooms and some hitchhicker anemone help to id this as well should i get rid of it and if so how?? please
    [IMG]

i believe this pic is some sort of acan but i'm not sure the guy that helped me didn't sound to confident and i didn't note anything that he bought because i wasn't sure if he was right
    [IMG]

please let me know what i can do with the anemone and if someone has had a mandarin that is pretty much on his last leg layin on the ground and the current makes him float off and just keeps trying to lay not on the prowl at all.. if there's anything i can do to help other than leave him alone and watch cause i feel horrible for him..

The mystery anemone is an Aiptasia and should be immediately removed. Kalk paste/ inject with vinegar. There are a ton of threads on it. But be careful with whatever you do that it doesn't spray babies into the tank.

well I can't find my camera so it's still phone pix for now

but i thought i would do a small update

    here she is today:

if you guys have been reading some of my other posts i have good news

my freaked out mandarin finally calmed down and is grazing and exploring again but the same day that happened my flame hawkfish that spooked the mandarin wouldn't come out off hiding for 2 days not even for food... which is weird he was just perched in a weird place and i was getting prepaired to find him dead but the day before yesterday he was out and about and the mandarin also out and about

they even brushed up against eachother several times and both didn't even react so i think they've became friends which is great!

also... i've pretty much scratched this project and should be picking up a 125g today from someone local that i feel like im getting a steal on so i will be combining my 46 bow and this 40g breeder slowly into a 120!! so i'm excited

no prolly keep it in the garage turns out i gotta 30 gallone w/the 125 that he was using for a skimmer so it has two sections.. i will prolly redesign so that i can make it into a fuge unless i find a good deal on one ready...

it's pretty gross right now so i've got it runnin w/some vinegar to clean it up and i will prolly be takin it slow

i'm also going to start a new thread on it
