Very nice work!!! I too had a hex years ago and loved it.;D
Would it be possible to just build another cabinet next to the stand (or through a wall on the opposite side of the tank? That would really make her mad.lol)for the sump??I kinda like ths stand being the same shape as the tank.;)

Thanks a bunch. My biggest concern at this point is going to be flow. I'm wondering what an mp10 would do in a hex

Maybe another cabinet next to the stand would be workable. I could add another wing for extra storage as a selling point.

how wide is it from one side to the other on the tank? an MP should be fine and also your best bet due to it being able to do random flow, and with a wierd shape tank, that will be difficult to achieve otherside, without the use of 4 or 12 smaller powerheads. Id just get the wireless one, incase in the future you decide to get a nother mp10, they'll talk.

oh and p.s., super A+ bro guy on the rock work, jelly 100%

    Thank you very much.:)

Appreciate the compliments. The tank is 20.25" across, 11.5" panels, 24" deep.

I'm in a holding pattern for now. Right around christmas a heater failed and sadly my cichlids froze overnight in my 50 tank. Rather than set up with fresh water again I'll likely build a new stand and transfer my 30 g reef over.
The other reason for my lack of progress is funding. Its the slow season and until tourists come back to replenish the coffers my discretionary spending is limited. there will be progress eventually though.

Right so.....holding pattern has a break upcoming. My SO has decided that greener pastures exist.....sad as this is for my personal life it bodes well for upcoming tanks......
