Congrats on moving from FOWLR to Reef! And Happy Birthday! It should be easy for you to remember how long you will have been keeping coral in the future.

I feed my LPS about 1 - 2 times per week but they don't have to be fed if you feed your tank well. Some people have had them host clowns but that's a hit or miss thing.

    Thanks Vin.
If you're new to coral like I am. It's a unique world. Fragging and such. Maybe that's the allure. Either way this is an awesome gift. Watching it sway in the water flow is great.
My 4 and 5 yr old girls named them already. I'll post the names when I can remember them. Because it's a name a 4&5 yr old would give ;D

as with many things in this hobby, you'll find varying opinions on feeding (imagine that lol) - I recently started spot feeding my corals and have noticed quite an improvement in overall polyp expansion and growth. I use reef chili (from BRS) and sometimes fish eggs (it comes in a bottle called R.O.E) from my LFS. Clowns love the eggs actually too.

I feed mine once a week with sinking pellets though most say no need to feed them. They do grow faster if target feed.

Nice! Yup thats a Euphyllia/Torch coral. I don't own one but I believe they like moderate lighting and are a filter filter that will eat microplankton and maybe even brine? Be sure if you have any other corals though to give it plenty of space cause it's tentacles can reach out and sting other corals as it is classified as an "aggressive" type of coral.

Torches love meaty items as well. I get the best feeding response with Dr. G's brine and mysis max. I use reef chili too.
