Quick Update: So I used the bottle of Instant Ocean Bio-Spira last night to see if it would work. I figured its just bacteria, it really wouldn't hurt the tank if it didn't really actually cycle it much more probably just help it cycle. Well, when i woke up this morning i went and tested my water parameters (oh and btw, you can use the freshwater test kit, just have to get the color chart cards online, which i did) and everything seems like it checks out.

Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 0

Now, i still dont trust it. what do you guys think?

 

Sounds like it works, but i'd keep a close eye on the prams
