I'm pretty close to dumping my M58 ballasts on ebay and buying a pair of IceCap 175W & a pair of Iwasaki 15k's. I've got that combination on my 29 gallon at home and it's a super bright crisp white, just wish it had a little more blue. I think it'd work fine on a 55 gallon, and I'm on the verge of going in that direction.

I've decided to stay with the ballasts I've got. Also, attached is a pic I just took with NO T12 actinics.

Processing ~3ppm NH3 in 24 hrs., NO2 has been at least 5ppm (as high as my API test goes) since Tuesday, pH is holding at around 8.4. I'm keeping the temp at around 81 degrees. Keep on truckin'!

Great progress, when I upgrade I'm probably going to go with 2 x 250, but I need a fixture because no canopy. It will be good when I upgrade tank size too. Your tank looks good.

This looks good, I dont like pics with actinics, they look cool to the eye but in pics they dont do corals and things much justice..unless you gotta real hihg end camera..........nice tank though...keep up the good work....I wanna see it stretched out in corals and some fish........Im still in the market for affordable lights if ya got any lead....
