    Just cure the rock in the tank. Don't worry about "seeding' it, add water, salt and a heater and wait a few weeks. You can add one (1) damsel, a yellow tail is best IMO, or add one (1) small piece of raw shrimp to contribute "food" for the bacteria. When your ammonia and nitrite peak, then go back to 0, your tank has cycled and you can start adding livestock, although slowly.

    Ok, so here is the new aqua scape. I removed the egg crate, added sand, and tried to duplicate the previous aqua scape I had, but it didnt come out exactly as before....Im sure everyone knows how that goes.

    Couple questions:

    1. are suds/foam along the edge of the glass common when adding new sand?

    2. can old dried up Coraline be scraped and sprinkled over my rock to spread it?
