So I have added a few new pieces.

I am not sure what this one is, i started an ID thread for it.

Not real sure what this is either, maybe a blastomussa? These last 2 pieces were not pieces I ordered but are gladly accepted since they took the place of a couple zoa frags.

And with this I am hoping I didn't make a huge mistake taking these frags off the tiles they were on. I want them to all grow together on this rock. I think it will look pretty neat so long as my fish leave them alone long enough for them to attach to the rock.

This one is called Lavender Ice Acropora, or at least the name it is sold under.

I couldn't get a clear picture of this one to save my life. Also took this one off the tile it was on but it is big enough i don't think it will get lost.

Also updated my ATS with an enclosure. It started spitting so much water everywhere that it soaked the floor and also lowered my salinity. Has been offline for a couple weeks so I am hoping once it starts growing algae again my cyano will start to suffer again.

Not much else has changed. I will get another photo of the zoa cluster when they open back up. I fed them right before I moved them since the tiles made every one of them fall off the rock onto the sand. Hopefully they will stay put now.

    Had a setback today.

Was doing a WC and cleaning my pumps and when i turned the return pump back on my DT started to overflow. The siphon was good but the overflow wasn't draining properly. Finally got it flowing like normal and went to adjust my PHs and got a little zap on my finger tips.

So I currently have nothing being powered on my DT, so no flow and no lights. I am sure my sps are loving this. I believe my power strip got water in it and i can only assume that electricity was coming up the lines from the moisture on the outside of the lines. I think my power strip is done.

Will be looking for a solution tomorrow. I am thinking about plugging one of my WP25s in to the wall and doing a blackout for a couple days to combat the cyano issue i have been having. I figure since I have no lights now and I just cleaned as much cyano out as i could find today, maybe this is the time to give it a try.

If anyone has any experience with doing a blackout, I am curious on if i should keep my ATS and fuge lights on the regular schedule or if i should keep them on the entire time to try and encourage more growth there in the meantime? Also if anyone has any other tips it is greatly appreciated.

I don't have all that hear but did get water overflowing from HOB skimmer. Water got on/in power strip and started to smoke. Shut that down right quick. Went a day with no power. Was weird how quiet it was :)

20141016_011233.jpg Good old Seachem reefsalt, just as cloudy with a heater and PH as without. 20141016_011419.jpg Had to move these frags and reglue since they wanted to fly all over the place after the PHs were cleaned.

Lost my blue mushroom. It didn't die that i know of but it floated away. If I am lucky it will show back up someday but i doubt that will happen.

Have been having some really bad luck recently. Within a week, My tank has overflowed soaking my hardwood floor, and frying my electrical strip in my stand TWICE and has also fried the controller for one of my WP25s. I am awaiting the arrival of a better powerstrip and in the mean time, my lighting has been reduced and it and my flow are reduced. I am sure my SPS are loving their current situation.

On the flipside, It seems the battle between the blue/green cyano and I may have come to an end or atleast a ceasefire since the first overflow which resulted in an impromptu black out for 2 days. I seem to not have algae growing in my DT either much to my lawnmower blenny's unsatisfaction. I guess he will have to start to like the sheet algae.

I have had a growing concern regarding my clownfish recently though. The female seems to be getting more aggressive. She frenziedly attacks me anytime my hand has to go into the DT and also sometimes attacks random corals. I don't know what her deal is but I am concerned she will bully any new addition too much. I would love some advice on this topic if anyone has any to give.

So to wrap it up, the battle with:
    Cyano, victory!
    Algae, victory!
    Crazy Clownfish, defeat
    overflows/electricity, crushing defeat

May want to look into a ground probe for the tank. If you felt a zap in the water then so will your inhabitants. Stray current causes a lot of issues. All my tanks have one and my sumps do too.
