My 55gallon photos

This tank is an old tank from the 80's that used to be my uncle's. He was getting rid of it in 2002/2003ish and my brother took it and was going to make a fish only tank. Once he saw the corals it became a reef tank. Unfortunately the tank is old and not designed for such things that is why the hood doesn't match and the equipment is not under the stand. In 2005 it was at it's prime and was full of hard and soft corals. Hurricane Katrina killed almost everything due to no power. We never truly restocked the tank since then and have considered many a time taking it down but we kept it pretty much with just live rock for 2 years. We recently went on a trip to the keys and caught some specimens for it and are currently considering a upgrade to a 180-220gal.
