    Woohoo!

I finally got what should be most of my last major upgrade. My new AI Sol Light!

Forgive the photo quality of my phone. I should have the second unit tomorrow, but damn this thing looks cool! The pics don't do it justice. The plan is to hang it from the roof a bit higher up, but the legs will do for now.

Ok I have seen it all. I am a full time tile setter and have set tile in a lot of places, but I have never seen natural stone in an aquarium. Very nice!

I only wish I had thought of it soon enough to get the bottom as well. As unnatural as it is, its got this weirdly natural look; like a Mediterranean ruin. I love it, my plan is to get some corals growing on it.

I'm excited. I don't have any pics right now, but I will try for a few tomorrow. I'm seeing slow, but definite growth on my SPS. After the lights went in, its taken a while for things to acclimate. Add to that the fact that the tank is fairly new and the corals were under a little stress and the result was a few disappointing weeks while I waited for things to settle in.

With patience and luck, not any more. Parameters are stable, conditions are very consistent, and I have the beginnings of growing colonies that have been coloring up nicely.

    I'm definitely excited!

Thats awesome great ideas. But it seems it would be easy for you to tile the floors with no sand present.

That's neat. Makes me think of the Discovery channel shows about ancient cities under water.

    Looks good,
