I am really enjoying the challenges of this hobby. It gives a great sense of satisfaction when everything is dialed in and your tank is looking great...not to mention the challenge of keeping it that way.

Reviving this thread, as I am reviving my tank.

Tank crashed a year ago. It has been sitting with just a powerhead, no lights, and only topping off evaporated water for about a year. I gave away all my corals when things headed south. I got re-motivated a few days ago and decided to fire it up again. I'm ordering new HQI and T5 bulbs. The sump, skimmer, and return pump all seem to be functioning ok. Right now I am working on getting the water right again. SG had dropped down to 1.013...slowly bringing the SG back up...right now it is 1.018. All the other levels are surprisingly decent.

Through all of it, this guy and a few snails are the lone survivors. He has been fed, but cold and dark for a long time. Maybe that is why he looks so grumpy!
