I think it will be very difficult to get that fitting to seal with only Teflon tape. It's designed to be glued.

If you want the flexibility of being able to easily pull it apart, you can add a union in the line.

That would work, Going to get a check valve from them also, double security. They may fail 1 out of 10 times, but that's 9 times I can rest in peace.

Tank is looking good, Diatoms have come and are starting to go. I guess Red Slime or green Hair is next. Bubble Tip is confused! He starts to move, then goes back were I orginally put him. Clowns don't seem to like it :/

Purple Death Paly! Not very purple. Orange Cap looks almost like the Red Cap and the Acropora Tortuosa not nearly as blue as it's suppose to be :/

Not a very shy Green Emerald Crab, the one I had in my 40b I was very lucky to even see him for even a second, as far as I know he may have been hid in one of the rocks when I moved in to the bigger tank and is still alive.

So last night I am watching the tank and suddenly lights out! Both ballast on the T5's went out at the same time. I just ordered $130 in new lights and I haven't even got them yet, now I have to buy 2 ballast also. So the only lights I have on my tank now is the MH light.

The MH will be more than sufficient to. In fact, the T-5s are probably overkill (won't really hurt anything) with the halides, but they certainly help to add some color.
