Basically the T5's take over when the MH light goes out which is on a timer and its on from 10 AM to 5 PM. The T5's simulate I guess the sun up and sunset :D

well, tank looks very nice with just the MH. That is a bummer about the ballasts....isn't that weird though to have both go at the same time?? Could that be related to something electrical that is wrong??

Yes! and what even makes it weirder is that replaced one of those ballast several months ago. Both lights on the on/off switches are both still on which tell me it's the ballast.

So anyways! a month later after giving up trying to get it to stop leaking, pulling it out, putting it back in behind the tank at least 5 times. I pulled it out yesterday again, cus I really want to have a little sump. I re-glued all the plumping took it outside and started to run water through the over-flow and the plumping. To my surprise it was still leaking, but this time it's not behind the tank and a tight spot and I was able to get a close look.

It was leaking from the bulkhead. Then I seen what I had done, I put the damn bulkhead seal on the outside instead of the inside and it's not going to stop water regardless of how tight or how much silicone I use around the bulkhead. So I put it back where it belonged on the inside and no more leaking, hahahaha!! Man do I feel stupid.

What fixture is this? I know I've asked a while ago, but I guess I didn't care to remember.

I know right! Anyways! The light system is Odyssea. Got my new T5 bulbs getting here tomorrow and now I have to probably wait for about a week to get the ballast. No problems at all with the MH light which is according to story suppose to cause house fires.
Going get the sump up and going next weekend, I hope.

Have you contacted the company? There's no reason why the you should need to replace 4 ballasts in 3 months. This will be your 6th ballast since you bought the fixture. I would contact the company.
