I am going to start doing some work on my tank and stand, the tank just needs a good cleaning, the stand should be sanded, handles added, got a door thats warped a little need to figure out how I can take care of that and figure how I will hang the lights over the tank.

IMO I would keep the sump. Sump = More water volume, hidden equipment, and more room for filtration.

You know when I added that sump to my 40b I noticed a big increase in evaporation, I am adding a gallon of water every other day, that's huge. I will need to improve on the plumbing for sure if I stick with the sump, the rubber hoses and hose clamps have to go.

This is the warped door, I am not a carpenter so I have no idea how to fix it :D I am not even sure if I spelled carpenter right.

I ordered my 50lbs of rock from BRS on that group buy deal, I didn't get a better deal, maybe because it was already on sale :/

Lots of dreaming, I already know in my mind how I want it to look, I will use my rock I have now in center in the bow area, put some dry rock as a base to build it up higher since its much deeper/taller than the 40b.
Have 2 smaller rock piles on each side of center without connecting the rock builds, those area will be better suited for less light demanding Corals and Corals that need to be placed in the sand bed, its going to be nice to spread the now tightly grouped Corals out some, they will be much happier and lots more space for growth.

Good luck I have a 46 bowfront and LOVE it, was my first reef setup and been up about 9 months. I cant wait to upgrade to a 72 bow or larger but need to buy a house first

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    December is 3 days away.

Making good progress. Since you have the rock and sand you can let the new setup cycle for awhile before the transfer.
