My 72 gallon bowfront rebuild build. Fresh or Salt?

    Will I hope the replacements for those huge pumps make a difference. Should have them sometime next week.

    I measured the inside of the stand and the tank should fit, that would be my 20g sump, it will fit inside, but I can't get it inside the stand, hahaha :oops:

    Did you drill the back of your tank I just wana know if it was tempered or not. Im assuming its not cause when I did a test with polarized ghlass and a cell phone I didnt see the wave like effect. I wana drill mine to do a bean animal overflow

    Ammonia is about 20ppm, the diatoms should be coming shortly, joy joy!!

    No I didn't drill it, I have a HOB overflow box.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I am going to assume you are doing water changes and adding prime or equiv product. I would sure hate to see your corals crash and fish die with that ammonia level.

    You must have had some significant die off.

    And you mean .20 right?

    Yes I am putting Prime in there and I done 2 water changes of 5 gallons, actually sorry :D I think its somewhere in between 0 ppm and 0.25, yes so your right, my mistake! The Corals don't show to much sign of ill effects from the ammonia.

    Specific Gravity - 1.025
    Ammonia - barely detectable.
    Nitrite - 0
    Nitrate - 0
    Phosphate - 0
    PH - 8.2
    KH - 180 ppm
    MG - 1560
    Calcium - 420

    Water seems to be OK! Not sure about the MG though.
