My 72 Mixed Reef (She's Coming Down)

Time for an update. It's been a couple months since I posted any pics and of course there's been a few changes.

New Quite One 6000 return pump also running a Phosban Reactor 150 and fuge. I looped it like so to reduce GPH to DT, so my overflow can keep.

Added a filter sock back for 2 important reasons that I couldn't get around. First was pieces of cheato fouling my skimmer every few days. This was driving me crazy. Second is micro bubbles, now I have the skimmer, overflow and reactor effluents going into one sock where no bubbles can escape. DT looks much better.

New conch shell with orange zoas, GSP and a single Ric. Gonna be real nice in a year.

Sold my Derasa and torch to a friend because it tripled in size in 6 months, and my tank is too small for 3 euphyllia's.

And I finally epoxyed a few corals into their permanent homes.

 

Here's my baby gold striped maroon and porcelain crab chilln' in a green LTA.

 

I see you broke your sump. I hope the fix holds.

I love the tank. The 72 bows always seem huge.

nice looking tank. how long have the crab and clown been sharing that nem? that's pretty cool. i didn't think the clowns would share.

 

Crab has been in there about 3 months and the clown about 3 weeks, so far so good.

LMAO. I think this post just made my day. Tells you a little something about my day huh.

 

I just saw a 1 inch pistol shrimp molt float by! The pistol claw was clearly there. I haven't a pistol shrimp since December '09, so I guess this little hitchhiker came in months ago in it's larval stage. Sorry no pic.
