Around 6 inches, it's tripled size in 2 years.

Look at this rock. Two types of calurpa that came from ???

I'm gonna knock the corals off and nuke the rock.

My tank looks about the same apart from cyano and calurpa.

I tried to go all natural by removing the filter sock and adding LR rubble and a powerhead to the sock chamber. I hoped the additional LR in combination with the cheato and clay DSB would do the trick.

It didn't.... the LR rubble trapped detritus and Bob's your uncle.

Although my cheato is growing like wildfire, it's just not enough to keep up with the leftovers from feeding a LPS tank. I have to feed generously to make sure all the critters get a bite.

There was also too much rock along the back of my tank which was preventing good flow.

Last week I reinstalled the sock, rescaped the left side of the DT, started Purigen in my Phosban 150 (jammed down with filter floss) and replaced all RO/DI filters and did 3x30% water changes.

Already the cheato is "cleaner" looking, but the cyano comes and goes from day to night.

And I'm still gonna have to nuke that rock.

The bad rock is out, if fact it's in the dumpster.
No worries folks the calurpa and bubble algae are local, I introduced it back when I was in the lets-see-what-happens-now-mode.
I never liked that rock anyway, dense uninteresting florida key stone.
Next tank will be 100% dry Pukani base, seeded with sand.

    Bad news,

The adhesive where the front and right side meets has turned a milky brown.

There is a stress "crumble" on the back panel to left side junction from the cargo strap during our last move.

I've had my eye on these two issues for a while, but ever since Jason McKenzie mentioned the problems with bowfronts from four years ago (mine is a 200eight) I haven't been comfortable.

I'm also busy with work and OME school, so a smaller tank will be much easier to maintain.

Therefore I'm taking it down, selling ALL the livestock which be on a new thread, and will nuke and keep some rock for a 40B.

    Good News,

I'm starting a bare-bottom 40B with BRS Pukani and a few choice pieces I have now, DrTim's, Reef Dynamics INS80, Rapid LED (will need help from 3reef with this one), BRS 2-part, and I'm gonna re-do my 29 sump to accomodate a 40 gallon DT.

Sorry to hear you're forced to take it down, WT.. But like you mentioned, look at the bright side, you get to start all the fun stuff all over again!
