At the beginning of the year I set up a 75 gallon Sea Clear System II that I converted the POS back filtration into a sump, while I am very happy with my tank I couldn't pass up the deal i found on a real 75 gallon RR tank. My dream of having an actual sump hidden underneath the tank is finally coming true! I picked up a used 75 gallon tank with offset megaflow, here is where my journey begins! I set the tank up running with vinegar in my garage to clean it out and get the coraline off the overflow. It worked like a charm.

    Now onto the next project
The Sump! It came with a 20 gallon Long sump that had two chambers.
I wanted something else, I got a 30 gallon long and made three chambers with the first skimmer, then return, then fuge.

Thats as far as ive gotten so far, i went to home depot tonight and bought all the plumbing that i need to hard plumb the whole system. I plan on having the return split to a T, running to the DT, then some flow running to the fuge, and also GFO reactor. The pump is a Eheim 1262 which I believe will be able to take care of the task nicely. I should be able to get all the hard plumbing done tomorrow and will update further;D.

Nice start, I would get a Y fitting instead of a T so you don't reduce your flow back to your tank.

The tank came really clean with the vinegar. Nice.

That would be ideal but with a Y fitting it would be difficult to turn the y pointing up back to the DT or the Fuge without use of flexible piping, I am using all hard PVC

Anyone have any suggestions on skimmer selection, I've been thinking of an eschopps or a swc 150bmk?

Thanks, I plan on adding a little more rock eventually, I surprisingly didn't have to glue any of it

I didn't glue any of mine either. I hope it never falls. Nothing really to knock it over. I just kinda push from each side a tad and see if it falls.
