This tank has cost the most and taken the most time to build in all 9 years I've been in the aquarium hobby, but I think it was worth it.

The tank was given to me used and I re-sealed the whole thing, removed the trim, and euro-braced it. Built the stand and canopy with my dad. Built the sump out of my old 40-breeder tank (looks better as a sump) :D Finally, we installed Bridgelux LEDs last month. Been adding coral since filling in late July.

    Well done.

Do your overflows make much noise?

Funny you should mention that; Yes, they do, and it's really annoying. Do you know how to quiet them?

One thing I see that may be causing some noise is the long looping drain coming from the right side. There a a bunch of places that will trap air and cause a noisy gurgling/belching noises. Also I would think that the ribbed tubing wouldn't help with noise but I'm not sure of that. I find that anythime your drain travels horizontally, you're gonna have to find a way to vent that horizontal run on the downstream side. Of course there are always exceptions, but I believe this to be true. I know it's a pain, but if it were my tank I would try and reroute the plumbing to avoid the horizontal runs, or even possibly re-plumb with hard piping. Hope this helps.

P.S. Even knowing this before hand, I just litterally finished re-plumbing my tank to quiet it down lol. Just takes time and a few tweaks to quiet it down.

Gorgeous stand and great work on the reseal and euro bracing. Good looking rock work.
