Not much has happened since th last time I posted on this thread as my tank is in it's cycling process. However, yesterday morning I decided to start working on my Denitrator and well, here it is.

Here is the 1/4" line wrapped around the 2" PVC along with the 3" pipe and other supplies I used. They were the plastic fitting for RO units that are sold at HD. I had installed the wrong "inlet" fitting on the cap. It does have the bio balls inside even though it's not pictured. ALSO, I did cut my 3" PVC pipe down to 20" so it could fit.

Here it is finished. 1/4" quick connect control flow valve as "inlet" and 1/4" quick connect as "outlet". The base was cut on 2 sides to fit it in between my wet/dry and refuge. Working like a charm!

BTW.......this all did start with the DIY Denitrator thread. Thanks for the idea fellas!

    UPDATE: Oct. 4th, 2008

Lighting upgrade. Got rid of my 96w 10k and my Actinic PC's and installed the Current USA 8x54w T5 HO unit.

The fish now need sunglasses but it's ok. My new cameras battery is charging so I used the back-up camera to take pics.......they suck! I'll take better ones later.

It still needs minor tweaking as it's just thrown in there for now. For those who are curious about the temp.....they have been on for about 4 hrs and only rose the temp by 1 degree and it's been maintaining at that.

Looks good Johnny Boy. If I could inject my 2 cents, it looks like the light fixture is really close to the waters surface. I see in the future that you will be cleaning those bulbs/glass shield very frequently my friend. I want to see the frag tank set up and running. Your going to slow dude, lets go.....chop chop. ;D Luna

Don't push it:angry: J/k;D I'm working on it. Should be up and running by Wednesday.

Yea....it's a lil close to the water but I'll take the risk of having to clean it all the time.

Don't worry about how small that Cheato is. I bought a fistful of it and now it is almost as big as my 20 gallon refugium in like a month or two!
