Looks great! In regards to your fuge questions. Most people have at least a 4" to 6" DSB or some type of reef mud in their fuges, with some type of macro algae (cheato, mangroves ect...) and a fair amount of LR as well. You can't have to much LR. In a lot of cases, a well est. fuge = 0 nitrates.

Very nice build so far. It looks great. Are you going with a canister exclusively, or do you have a skimmer?

I also noticed on your hard ware you have a heater in the tank...why not both in the sump? Also, you have all your flow going through your canister, phosphate media and chiller. I doubt very much the phosphate reactor can handle anywhere near that flow. The chiller is the supply for the fuge... don't know how cold that will stay depending on the main tank, and again.... not sure how much flow you are putting through you loop.

I'm sorry if I seem picky. You have put a lot of thought into this, and it will look great. Just need to take a closer look at routings and flows.

Macro algae suck up phosphates. By running the fuge supply through a PO4 reactor, you will not leave any for the macro to grow.

I forgot to include the skimmer - its a Ramora, Forgot the model, but its the biggest one offered. The question regarding the the fluval line, Its running at about 100GPH, the reactor gets OK movement, I probably need to up the size of the booster pump. I mainly use the fluval for the instances where I want to run some carbon. The VAST majority of the filtration gets done in the sump.

That will work good then for the Fluval and the reactor. On my 90g I use a pump at about 300gph. However, 100gph is not going to be enough for the chiller. I guess what I'm saying a the reactor, chiller and fuge have different flows requirements.

What is the minimum flow for the chiller?

I have been using the chiller in this configuration for more than a year now (at another location) with no issues and minimal starts. Thanks for the input though!
