My Anthian is having problems i think please help!

    the thing is i had old rock in there from before thats 2 years old does that rock have to cycle also? all i did was move a fulll tank from one house to the other. and i added 1 more rock into my tank? you think that 1 rock i added might be destroying everything?

    You might be OK with the move. Did you stir or disturb the sandbed at all?

    oh, alright. i didnt know you just transfered it. Like pack said, you might be fine. He knows what he is talking about, is a great help! Definitely get your own test kit!!!

    i did stir some sand when pouring new water in at first my clowns were in the tank in the cloudy sand water but then it settled after an hour or two. my clowns seem fine so far they are electrified and do not stop doing side to side up and down. it just seems to me that the anthias is injured or sick or something. im gonna have to purchase a test kit tommorrow what do they run around in price

    the previous owner had the tank for 2 years and i had the tank for about a week. i bought it from him and transferred the whole thing to my house i took out some water of course to bring it over but i replaced it with new water

    Wrong. He/she has had it a week. Its a transfer

    I think they were around $35 at Petco last time I looked.

    Moving a tank, no matter how established, will cause some die off so a mini-cycle is pretty much unavoidable. I'm not sure that that's what's causing the problem with your anthias though.
