    Actually, the bed was seeded with the live rock. Just happened over time.
    The sand was bought at the local fish store, dry.

    I run the aquapure denitrator, skimmer, sump with cheato and do a 40 gal. water change once a month. Seems to be doing fine.

    That sounds good. Well I'm trying to start a new tank (90 gallon) and trying to figure out what to do for the sand bed. How deep is yours?

    Mine averages about 4 in. but it varies due to currents. The animals tend to move it around too. There are some spots that are about 1.5 in., other 5 or 6. It just depends.
