My Best Friend is Gone

Last night I had to do the unthinkable. I had to put my best friend Pico down. He was more than a pet he was a member of the family. He was only 8yrs old. He had injured him self about 3 weeks ago and was having a hard time walking or even sitting up. The vet told me that he was in a lot of pain and that he had reinjured his neck that had been repaired in June.

Dear God please watch over my baby boy and see to it that my Grandfather and Peaches find him so that they can run and play together.

Been there man! Had Scooby put to sleep when I was only 10. He was in my family before I was. Had Peetee the parrot put to sleep after a digestive problem. Loosing a family member is always rough. Our hearts our with you.

 

I watched my friends dog die because the vet said he was too busy to put him down. we live in the city so the old .22 pill wasn't an option. It was so sad. Sorry for your loss.

 

sorry for your loss. we each hold a special place for our pets in our hearts and the choice you had to make will tear anyones heart in half. I too have had many pets and they all still hold that place in my heart. I myself have had to put down many animals and we live in the country so I am usualy the one who does it. We had a cat that was ran over by a car her name was cricket and there was no hope for her so I put her down myself. But still remember her to this day and am thankfull that she is suffering no more.
