    My fish tank is currently stinking something awful atm, Im seeking advice in the newbie area, Nothing will change until I get the funk figured out.

    Did you add live rock or base rock. Live rock will have some dieoff that can smell pretty bad at first.

    It was dry fiji pukani from BRS, I cleaned it with the garden hose the best I could, But there seemed to be some sort of die off from the ocean im assuming. Really old stuff. Like dried up seaweed or something.

    The stink is long gone, Added a green chromi a while ago he's doin well. Added a couple crab's n snails, they are doin well too. Tested my water, everything looks good onlything left is nitrates is about 20. Figuring the cycle is nearing the end.

    Paid for a yellow watchmen, gonna take him home next weds if my water params stay stable.


    I'll take pictures tommorow when the lights come on.
