come up with a little mod for this tank since I removed the bubble tube/air pump.





Just finished drilling holes in the bottom to let water flow through, just need to glue magnets in place. This is will sit 10mm above the water surface and will hold some floss and a piece of media like purigen, chemi pure elite or chaeto it should blend in with it being black and shouldn't take up too much real estate in the tank as it's only 150mm x 50mm x 50mm.

Thanks, well obviously the stock lighting is very weak and around 6.5k so for now it'll do as a FOWLR setup but I am on the lookout for suitable upgrades. The opening the light sits on at present is 16cm x 16cm so one option is the Maxspect g2 180 60w unit, also TMC have a product in the pipeline which may be of interest.

 

I've switched the powerhead to the side and have it pointing across the back right to left so decided to mod the mod to get the most out of it.





Running carbon in empty space and will see how I get on with that.
