Just got home, and noticed that my Bubble Tip Anemone is splitting. Yesterday it moved for the first time in 9 months, about 1 inch away. Last night we were feeding and dosing stuff so we turned the two main pumps (640gph and 320gph stock pumps on the RSM250) but left the 2 Koralia 2's running ..... and we forgot to turn the 2 pumps back on, today I just got home from work, and 20 hrs later I noticed that the anemone was splitting and that the pumps were OFF :-/
    I hope it'll be OK !

Interesting sounds like the change in flow may have started this.

It will be fine, it is they way of reproducing. Our RBTA does it all the time. How about posting some pictures.

alright, so now it's kind of hard to see, but it almost looks like the split that was here yesterday (big hole) is now .... gone, it's weird, like it decided not to split after all lol !

here are a few pics I took yesterday:

I wonder how this will affect the way the clown hosts it. Keep us updated

My RBTA just split. My big maroon clown that hosts in it is happy, now 2 anemones in the same area. Otherwise the lazy fish needs to go over 10 inches to the GBTA.

alright so a new update for you guys (and girls !):
so a day or two after I posted the pics here, it seems like it decided not to split anymore, it was back in one whole piece and moved back up to where it originally was (it had moved down about 2 inches to a darker area). It was all back to normal until yesterday morning, I woke up and the anemone was all small in size, like 1/4 of the size it originally was, but the tentacles/tips were bubbly not all depleted .... then I looked down between the LR and there was another BTA .... wait ....... no ...... TWO BTAs !!!! It looks like it split in 3 pieces, the 2 "splits" are in between pieces of LR in the dark .... I'll wait a few days to see if they come out, anyone knows how long they will stay in the dark ?
