It is a dry heat, yeah right !
There is no scientific reason or explanation why BTA do this. A ton of theories but no consistent personal accounts. I have kept BTA under every type of lighting except LED without issue.

Three BTA all with a varying degree of bubble tips all under PC lighting. There was no consistency or rational as to why sometimes all had bubble tips, sometimes one did and 2 did not.....

This was true under MH and T5 as well.

Do you have a clown hosting it.the do show he bubbles when disturbed also.I feel bright light with absence of a clown bubbles are out more.also size of clown matters I have divedcoften seeing btas in the wildcand they are huge or in colonies compaired to how they are in the hobby.the clowns ale matched the size of the nem they were in.the six inch one the size we buy or they have shrunk to that b4 we get them had fry in them a couple like 4 to 7.they were 2 centameters.the big bubble tips had the larger fish.I c this allot in tanks we put these large ruff fish into stressed animals and they kill em.my nems are currently clownless I'm looking for some clarki ir skunk fry about 2 centameters if anyone here has 1.in the wild the btas with the fry had bubble tipped and the large groups of btas that had a female and a couple males were mostly long strait tentacles but the out side btas in the group had bubbles just my observations guys.
