My canister filter have inlet out let (adjustable) .. can i low the flow using them

    My canister filter have adjustable inlet out let ..can i low them to slow the flow of the current ...
    my filter is RESUN EF-1600 its huge for my tank .. but its doing well
    my pump is on the outlet .. taking water from filter and out it ....

    It would cause damage to the pump I'm assuming.

    Yes, but only if it's adjusted on the inlet side. Any pump can be trimmed on the outlet line without problems.

    That's a fairly typical setup for canisters. :)

    I had a Magnum 350 at one time; it, too, had valves on both inlet and outlet lines. They were for maintenance purposes, to prevent either line from draining water from the tank onto the floor when you opened the canister for cleaning. I think it's safe to assume that yours has the same setup. However, you can use the valve on the outlet line to lower the flow.
