O.K.... seeing I/we didn't want to hijack Todds "what have you done for your set up today " thread, it was suggested that I start my own about my carnation coral...

back ground , My entire set up has been "alive" since March... I started my salt/mixed reef tank after 50+ years of fresh water only...at one point it was a 60 gallon tall that developed a leak and has been transferred to another tank ( 75 g) after the normal ( form what I have read) trials and tribulations I now have a stable mixed reef, tank predominantly soft corals... a while back I purchased a carnation coral... I received "advise" and criticisms ( mostly IMHO predicting it's demise).. however.. today it is strong and growing... it has branched out from where there were branches missing and grown 2 new trunks....It is spot fed live newly hatched brine shrimp twice daily and I add 3 capfuls of Carnation.JPG marine snow to the 'fuge so it can be trickle fed all day...I'll do updates from time to time.. thanks to all that provided encouragement..

That's good to hear! They aren't impossible to keep, just tricky for those that don't have the time to feed it daily.

They do best in areas of high intermittent flow, though it seems like you've got yours all figured out!

Beautiful coral, how long have you had it?
