    How old is the tank?

It's very important that you know the results of your water chemistry, do not rely on the LFS to give accurate results.

Carpet Anemones need intense lighting and pristine water conditions in an established tank. Once acclimated they are pretty hardy, but not a good choice for a new tank or a 1st time anemones.

If it does not improve I would take it back to the LFS. It may very well improve if it makes it through acclimation.

Remember the LFS might sell you items that are not appropriate for your tank.

What size is your tank? Carpets get huge, you really need a very large tank to house them.

From what I know, if you can keep a BTA healthy a carpet should be no problem. There are alot of other factors like what happened to him before you got him. He looks pretty bleached out, but that might be the stress of shipping and what not. I would hold off feedings, because you know... his stomache looks inside out and just keep an eye on him. If the LFS will give you your money back take him back, if not another move will probably kill him anyway. If he gets to the point his foot wont hold maybe think of taking him out before your water quality gets worse.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a huge expert on nems, but I have 3 not including my sneaky aptaisia so definitely get a consensus.

    Sorry. :-(

They would never get my business again.

Buy on line and let him/her know.

I never had much issue with Haddon Carpet Anemones and your tank is established, it died quickly after purchase could have just been a bad specimen to start with. They usually do show some oral gaping for a couple days during acclimation, after that they should foot in the sand at the base of the rock work.
