If you can take the fish out then do, but if you can't move the rocks around and add the fish when the lights are off.

 

I don't want to continue the argument, but are you really going to trade in your fish every time they get too big? why not just make an aquarium that suits the fish's needs?

 

I spent to much time/money in this one. I guess i have to keep trading them in cause i really don't want to build a new tank. Well at least it dose not cost anything.

 

Quite Frankly, I'd like to see the "posts" where the members giving the tang advice in this thread have made hypocrits of themselves. IMO no one "bit any one's head off" in any post on this thread except you. In xmetals post he said you should NOT under any circumstance have a tang in a 29 BC and after that he states WHY you shouldn't:

I don't know why anyone would listen to a member who's name is "overstocked" in the first place, because that person is obviously aware that they are not practicing their hobby correctly.

And redgambit, if you are starting a new hobby why wouldn't you research everything there is to know about it? Especially if it's a hobby like a home reef, it's not like owning a cat or dog where there's common knowledge to be had. It's not something you can throw together and say well, I think that will do! That is just setting yourself up for failure. People join forum's like this to gain knowledge not to just "get by"

although rainbows and bunny rabbits are cute and cuddly, sometimes the truth is not. So amen to those that give honest opinions backed up by successful experience in the SW hobby. Repeated idiocy/irresponsibility should not be gently dealt with. I understand the positive message that 3reef puts out, but I'd rather be told my fly's open than walk around all day with my fly open, kudos to those fly open tellers
