I think I need to dial in my reef angel. I am out of town and noticed that my aquarium has overheated the last couple days. I have the flag set to turn off the lights at 84 degrees. It has done that. But the temp is now 77 and the lights should be on. Do I have to do this manually? Will the timer turn them off?

I have the answer. I have to say that Roberto at Reef Angel always answers emails fast. Awesome customer service.

So there was a whole sub menu on the RA iPhone app I wasn't aware of. Within it there is a "clear overheat" option. See below. My lights are on now.

I also set up notifications so it will email me when happens. And I also saw some code I can add that will automatically clear the overheat after a couple of hours when the temp drops and turn the lights back on. Cool!

Sorry I couldn't help with the RA issue, but glad you found and corrected it. I will say, though, that you need to find a way to stabilize the temp. A 7F increase in such a short period can be detrimental to your coral's health.

Yeah I noticed that. Windows are all shut with us being out of town. Tricky stuff with a well lit nano. I'll put some thought into it now that I can see all with this

Wow that is a HUGE temperature fluctuation in your tank man, do you have a heater and/or chiller on the tank?
Big swings let that in temp can do alot more damage to the fish and coral than even a constant temp of even 82 deg

We live live in Berkeley which is Northern California coastal - ac is not the norm. What is odd with this whole thing is the weather report is not showing a
Heat wave but my buddy that lives 5 miles down said it was 90 yesterday.
