So after having a little ich outbreak my beauty has been looking worse as the weeks go by. Fins are shredding, blochs on his body and his eyes are getting a film over them...Any suggestions on what to do? Flush him?

Wow he is definitely not looking good. Could be a secondary bacterial infection. If so you'll need to treat with an antibiotic. Madrel makes two different types. Some are harmful to your tanks good bacteria though. So it might be best to treat in an Hospital tank.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Poor fish.

Is he still eating? If you selcon, garlic, marine algae and or equiv. Inwall knows of a product but I forget the name.

Try some melafix, but poor baby probably has more than one thing going on.

    Good luck.

Poor guy! I dont think all hope is lost though if he is eating. Get him in a hospital tank and begin treatment as the others have advised

He eats well and doesn't seem to act sick but looks worse all the time. I don't have a hospital tank and won't be setting one up anytime soon. Just can't afford to do that or space. I was hoping there is some sort of other alternative.

Thanks for the info everyone. I appreciate it

You can make up a makeshift hospital tank

I would never flush a fish who is eating and still live that's cruel.

Some fungal and bacteria treatments can be done in the DT just follow the instructions and make sure its says its safe for the main tank.

Just use a clean bucket with an air stone or small power head as the hospital tank. It doesn't need to cycle, the medications will kill the bacteria anyway. You just have to do water changes.

What are you feeding him? Do you soak it in vitamins and HUFAs? Does your LFS sell Metronidazole by Seachem? If so, soak the food in that too. This will work on ich and bacterial infections and is safe in reef tanks.
