    ammonia is a bad thing. it should always be at 0.
    there is no nitrate?

    I could be off on this but I don't think running your MH's 1-6 is enough light for sps.

    It looks like your CA is on the low side, also I didn't see a mg read out maybe you need a test kit for magnesium and go from there, ammonia is not a good thing either, how is the temperature

    Hey, yeah ca is low, but ur running 500watts over 120 gals correct? could some peices of coral be getting more light IE LEDS? LEDs can bleach coral but they have very high penetration

    OK, I tested this morning after my posting. I didn't test the Iodine because it takes to long and I had to go to work......
    pH = 7.8
    Nitrate = 0 (what is the deal? I know this is a good thing and I'm not complaining but it has always been around 10 or 20 mark. I just put plants in the refug a week ago. Are they working that fast???)
    Phosphate = .50
    Nitrite = 0
    Ammonia = 0
    Alk = 2.5
    Calc = 400
    Mag = 1240

    Temp = 76
    Salinity = b/w 1.024 and 1.025

    These are as of this morning. I added a little Mag last night and KW today, after these test results.

    CA level at that amount will not cause any adverse effects to corals other than poor growth.
    I would increase over time your MH photo period to 8 to 9 hours/day.
    I would then run your Actinics on 1 hour before the MH and 1 hour after they go out.
    I agree 8 LED moon lights seems a bit excessive but do not know the overall result. Typically moon lights are for looks only and although they are thought to increase the spawning possibilities of coral, I'm not sure if they actually do. they don't typically get used to aid in coral health (PAR)
    I would also watch your Ammonia, and phosphate those numbers could be what is causing your problems
    Typically the main problems occur when swings or changes occur too quickly. How is your SG and Temp?

    Jason,

    Temp = 76
    Salinity = b/w 1.024 and 1.025

    I was thinking that when I switched to this new tank about 2 weeks ago now....the corals sat in large totes for quite sometime while I was transitioning.....maybe this had something to do with it. Also, my phosphates and ammonia have always tested 0 until yesterday.....I got this "Frag Station" from Dr F&S this week, it is made of .....oh crap I forgot.....anyway it's note porcelin, maybe its ceramic...anyway could that be making the phosphates go up? I was in b/w on the ammonia b/w 0 and the next one up....so I guess I will just do a water change to get rid of that. I use my RO/DI water.

    Sounds like the change from one tank to the other had a small cycle. Did you reuse your sand bed?

    Did you add more LR?
